- Invitation from EAS member Countries -
| Last update 6 August. 2009 |
The Exchange Program for East Asian Young Researchers (Invitation from East Asia Summit Member Countries) gives young researchers from Asia and elsewhere, such as doctoral and master’s students and postdoctoral researchers, the opportunity to pursue research in Japan by systematically placing them in Japanese universities and scientific research institutions. The program forms part of the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (the JENESYS program) organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; as such it aims to foster regional cooperation with Asian and other countries (specifically the ASEAN countries, Australia, New Zealand, and India) by promoting exchange between the young scientists who will lead the next generation.
The program was inaugurated in FY 2008. JISTEC supports recruitment of participants and management of exchange activities.
